Elmer Arndt, son of Charles and Ida (Retzlaff) Arndt was born March 31, 1901 near Cooperstown where he grew up and attended school. He attended Interstate Business College in Fargo for two years. He was married to Bernice Urness March 17, 1937 at Cooperstown. They farmed in the Cooperstown area until 1968 when they retired. She died in 1973,
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Don (Elaine) Peitz, Oakes, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers.
