John B Grubb lost his mother Rosa when he was 7 years old. Rosa died of consumption. John and his brothers, Frank and Lewis were sent to the McIntire's Childrens home in 1895. John lived there until he became 18. He lived with Hugh and Anna Woodside, a local Zanesville, Ohio farmer and was kept as a laborer on the farm 1910. In 1913 he married Lillie and they raised 4 children in Springfield, Ohio. John is related to the Delaware Grubbs
