CASCADE, Iowa - Priscilla R. Bahl, 74, of 618 Johnson St., Cascade, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Cascade. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of Americas and Legion Auxiliary rosary at 4:30 p.m., and where there also will be a wake service at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Bahl was a beautician at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, for many years.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1926, in Dickeyville, Wis., daughter of Phillip and Stella (Digmann) Ginter. She married V. Edgar Bahl on Sept. 1, 1947, at the former St. Philomena's Church, Asbury, Iowa; he died on May 11, 1982.
She graduated from the former Peosta High School. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish, its altar and rosary society, and served as a lay minister for the parish. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Our Blessed Mother Court No. 1926 and the Cascade American Legion 528 Auxiliary, the Shady Rest Auxiliary. She was a 4-H leader for the Cascade Clever Clovers for 31 years, and served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are three daughters, Maggie (Dave) Curry, of Cascade, Vicki (Vince) Homan, of Sigourney, and Elizabeth (Jim) Olsem, of Lisbon; four sons, Matthew (Nina) Bahl, of North Liberty, Ted (Kathy) Bahl, of Anamosa, Patrick (Laura) Bahl, of Spooner, Wis., and Peter (Kristi) Bahl, of Hiawatha; 19 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; a brother, Vince Ginter, of Dubuque; and two sisters, Maleta "Skeets" Dietz, and Irma Pfiffner, both of Dubuque.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Joe Ginter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Birthright, 1086 Main St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
