Leonville - Funeral services are pending but will be held in St. Leo Catholic Church for Collins Adam Deranger, 42, of Leonville, who died suddenly Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Lake Providence.
Interment will be in the church mausoleum directed by Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on North Main St. in Opelousas.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lalonde Deranger of Leonville; his father, Andre Deranger of Leonville; a son Carl Steven Deranger of Arnaudville; a daughter Julie Deranger of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Guidroz and Mrs. Francis Wyble, both of Leonville and Mrs. Woodrow Leger of Opelousas; three brothers, Jules Deranger of Baltimore, Md., Pierre Deranger of Texarkana, Tex. and Weston Deranger of Leonville.
Deranger was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Leonville most of his life. He was captain on the Boat Vicksburg at the time of his death. He was a member of Woodmen of the World Camp No. 501 of Leonville and a trustee of St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Azilda Marks Deranger.
