Louis was the son of John Wesley Allman and Margaret (Egerer) Allman. He never married as he died so young of pneumonia. He had served in the Navy in WWI. He was the g-g-g-grandson of Revolutionary War Soldier, John Townsend of New York, NSDAR #A115668. He was also a direct descendent of the Huguenot, Jean Guenon.
