Miguel "Mike" C. Acosta Jr, died from a sudden illnes on March 21st, 2015, at the age of 94. Mike was born in El Paso, Texas on July 7, 1920.
He served in the Unites States Army from 1942-1945, during World War II.
Mike worked as a Foreman for Zanger Brothers, (Casa de Fruta), for fifteen years. He also worked for Denice and Felice, as a Machine Engineer for twenty-five years.
Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Andy, Ramon, and Alfonso Acosta; his sister, Carmen Valencia; and his son, Conrado Acosta.
He is survived by his brother, Frank Acosta; his sister, Julia Torres, from Oxnard, California; his sons, Ruben (Sofie), Mike, Joseph, Armando and Ronnie Acosta, in Hollister, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren.
Mike enjoyed his time watching the San Francisco 49ers, and the San Franciso Giants games on TV. He also loved his western movies, with Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. He loved spending time with his dog, Kissy. Mike will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
Committal and military rites will be at 1:30 PM at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
