Born Sept. 4, 1894, in Colquitt county, Mr. Baker was a retired farmer and the son of the late Pedrick Jackson and Elizabeth Clark Baker. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton and had lived in Tift county 30 years, moving here from Colquitt county.
Survivors include the widow Mrs. Florence Anna Lindsey Baker to whom he was married Nov. 27, 1918; two sons, The Rev. P.J. Baker of Cochran and the Rev. J. Frank Baker of Decatur, Ill., two daughters, Mrs. Grace Johnson of Valdosta and Mrs. Helen Swafford of New Orleans, La; one sister Mrs. C.S. Powell of Omega; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
