Paul E. Smith, age 90 of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005. He was born on August 20, 1914 in the Hurricane Grove community of Montgomery County, the son of Sidney Samuel Smith and Martha Jane Lisenby Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Sidney Samuel Smith. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and member of the American Legion. He is survived by three sons, Marlin Smith of Pearcy, Argus Smith of Chicago, Illinois and Carl Smith of Hot Springs; seven daughters, Mae Garner of Mountain Pine, Nettie Betlinski of Pearcy, Lucy Price of Murfreesboro, Rachel Smith of Georgia, Joan Ackerman of Gladstone, Missouri, Joyce Serna of Amity and Tanya Standerfer of Story; twenty-five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
