Oleta Fern was the second child of Delbert and Iva Burris. Fern had an older brother, and a younger sister, and four younger brothers. She married Hilma Britton and had three children: Larry, Nancy, and Sheryl. She was later remarried to Bob Kreger (buried at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Lawton). Fern was a devoted mother, daughter and sister. She loved people and loved to converse with family and friends. And, as everyone knew, she never met a stranger.
