Son of Michael Andrew Blessingtom and an Catherine Unknown. (Popular belief is that Margaret Dimond was his mother but records indicate that isn't true.)

Terrence, born in New York, migrated to Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and finally Louisiana.

He married Sarah Emma Gooch 12 Apr 1861 in Lee Co., Iowa. They had about 12 kids.

Terrence has 2 full blood siblings; Catherine and Ann; and two half siblings, Bridget Alice and John Patrick.

Terrence's 1/2 brother, John Patrick, married Caroline Steve who is the half sister of Terrence's wife, Sarah Emma Gooch. Sarah and Caroline share the same mother (Mary A. Toland) and Terrence and John Patrick share the same father. (Michael Andrew Blessington.)
