Jay was the son of Curtis Jay Buzzell (1851-1887) and Mary Ann Lovesee (1848-1910). He married four times. His first wife was Josefine Klara ("Josie") Johnsen (Feb 1882 Sumner, Trempealeau, Wisconsin - died 17 Jan 1921 Havre, Hill, Montana). They were married 5 Jul 1904 in Ashland, Wiconsin and were parents of Blanche Lenora Buzzell Lewis Packer Loff (1905-1987), Curtis Jay Buzzell (1913-1980) and an unnamed infant who died at birth in 1910. He married second Dora Belle Williams (1893-1943) - who later married Elmer Miller - third, Freda L Neumiller (1910-1999) & last, Mollie J. Adams Jumper (b. 1890). His children were all from his first marriage. His obituary contains errors (he was married in WI, not ORE, for instance) but is attached.
