Roxie Sophia HEIDT was the daughter of
James Ernest HEIDT (the son of Matthew HEIDT & Hannah WEITMAN) & his cousin,
Ann Rebecca HORNING (the daughter of Phillip HORNING & Gratiosa WEITMAN, "Gracy").
On the 11th of March, 1890 in Chatham County, she became the wife of Granville BEVILL Sr., a widower.

Living in Block "U" of Styles Avenue, in Savannah in 1900, were Granville BEVILL Sr., his wife Roxie, and their first four children (the elder two in school):
James Ernest BEVILL (1891-1910),
Clyde O. BEVILL THOMAS EVANS (1892-1985), the wife, first of Jerry THOMAS,
• Harmon Clinton BEVILL (born 1895, died about 1897), the husband, first of Louise NALLS, and then of Gussie Lenore ADAMS, and
• Pansy Harriet BEVILL (born 1899), the wife of Thomas NEWMAN.

A fifth child, and namesake daughter,
• Granville Cushon BEVILL (born 1902, two months after her father's death), the wife of Julian Sheppard HEYMAN Sr.

In about 1905, as a widow with five children, Roxy became the second wife of an Irishman, William ALLEN (born about 1862 - in 1910 he was a Detective on the Steam Railway), and she was widowed again between 1911 and 1920. In 1910, they were living on Styles Avenue. By her second husband, she became the step-mother of a daughter and the mother of a son:
• Willie L. ALLEN (born about 1902), and
• James Ernest ALLEN (born 1911), the husband of Minnie Ann WILLIAMS.
