BLACKVILLE - Services for Alberta Porter Abbott, 73, will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2005, at Healing Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in the Blackville Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Folk Funeral Home in Williston. Memorials may be made to Healing Springs Baptist Church, 226 Springs Court, Blackville SC 29817
Mrs. Abbott died Friday. Born in Williston, she was a daughter of the late William Albert Porter and Belle Powell Stringfield Porter. She was a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church, formerly worked for Daniels Pharmacy in Blackville and retired from Shuron Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include her husband Jesse Lee "Sonny Boy" Abbott; sons and daughter-in-laws, Donnie and Donna Jean Abbott, Bobby and Peggy Abbott, Patt Abbott, all of Blackville; sisters, Evie S. Hutto of Langley, Betty Lula Belle Hendrex of Lamar; five grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
