Morris and his wife Katherine were farmers.He was a Army Sgt. in WWII.Their farm was located at the end of Walking Horse Lane off of Horsepen Creek Road in Greensboro.They lived in a large two story farm house that was heated with two wood stoves.The home is long gone ,but two barns,a corn crib and the wood shed still remain as of 3-16-2011.They were a very self reliant farm family that were devoted to each other.They raised Hogs,Cows,Chickens,Turkeys and several Guinea's that Uncle Morris called his watch dogs.He would always raise a Tobacco crop each summer that he cured in a wood fired stick barn.All this was done with a mule,he never owned a tractor.Morris hobby's were Fox hunting and fishing.He and Katie had 3 children.Frank,Fred and Mary.

Morris you and Katy were master's at farming.Those skills are a thing of the past these day's.You truely lived off the land you were born own.God Bless You..
