NATCHEZ — Services for Carl Vincent Brown Jr., 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O'Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Brown was born March 19, 1929, in Natchez, the son of Carl Vincent Brown Sr. and Rose Mary McCabe Brown. He was a member of St. Mary Basilica.

Mr. Brown was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from International Paper Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sister Rose Brown; and two first cousins, J.I. Brown Jr. and J.T. Brown.

Survivors include four godchildren, Ora Montgomery, Nora Walker, Joseph F. Montgomery Jr. and Jonathan Montgomery; four first cousins, Carolyn LaCombe, Michael Fields Sr., Catherine Flowers and Mary Catherine Gunter; and a number of other cousins.

Pallbearers will be Donald Brown, Steven Wilson, Bruce Brown, Ray Butler, Joseph Montgomery and Marke Robertson.
