Charles W. Aslin, the son of Monroe and Dovie Miller Aslin, was born at Avert, Missouri January 14, 1905 and passed away at the Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, April 15, 1992 at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 1 day.
Mr. Aslin had lived in the Bloomfield and Dexter communities all his life and had been a resident of Dexter the past 16 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Dexter Second General Baptist Church.
In 1933 he was married to Sylvia Barger at Bloomfield and to this union four children were born.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Aslin of Dexter; two daughters, Jo Anne King of Paducah, Kentucky and Betty Lemons of Dexter, Missouri; two sons, Charles F. Aslin of Portage, Indiana and Farrell Aslin of O'Fallon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Homer Aslin and Johnny Aslin both of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sisters, Vern Perry of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Wilma Link of Dexter, Missouri, also other relatives and friends survive to mourn his passing. Two sisters, Sadie Perry and Virgie Aslin and one brother, Essel Aslin preceded him in death.
