Demaris Caldoia Etheridge was the daughter of Wiley Etheridge and Sarah Roberts Davis Etheridge. It is very possible her middle name was spelled Caldonia, (with an N) as were others with this name who descended from the same Etheridge family.

Demaris was Baptized August 1858 at the Nanafalia Baptist church, dismissed by letter Dec 1866, returned 1870, dismissed Jan. 1888.

Her first marriage was to C. J. G. Christian 16 May 1861 Marengo Co. Alabama. He enlisted as Charles Christian in the 3rd Alabama Regiment, Company C, he died May 1862. No known children were born to this union.

Demaris second marriage was to J. F. (John Franklin) Anderson on the 11 Aug. 1867 Lauderdale Co., Ms., Grooms Book 1, Page 421.
