Johannes Holly was born before 1717, probably in the German Palatinate and married Franey Mueller? about 1737 near Landau. They lived at Insheim until they came to Philadelphia on the "Brotherhood" in 1750 with seven children, where his name was recorded as John Hooley. They then farmed in Bern Township, Berks County, had 3 more children and were members of the Northkill Amish Congregation. Their daughter Barbara married my ancestor "Schweitzer" Christian Yoder about 1762. Franey and Johannes were probably buried in the Amish Burial Ground on Bishop Jacob Hertzler's Farm; she in 1769 and he in 1783. Their deaths are recorded in a family bible.
