Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at the Gilbert Chapel in Dixon for Mrs. Julia BACON, who died at the home of her son George, at Richland on April 25. The Rev.Daymond Davis officiated, with interment in Dixon Cemetery.

Julia BACON (nee Ziegler) was born in St Louis,MO December 11, 1877 and at her passing had attained the age of 81 years, four months and 14 days.

When a small child she was baptized into the Evangelical Protestant Church.

On February 22, 1899 she was united in marriage to Jeff Small BACON and to this union six children were born. Her husband preceded her in death on December 16, 1956.

She is survived by five sons, Tom, Jeff and Jim, all of Dixon, Clarence of Baxter Springs,Kansas, and George of Richland; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Watson, Dixon; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grand-children; two brothers Robert and Eugene Ziegler, Dixon; nieces, nephews and a other relatives and a host of friends.
