Mary passed away on December 24, 1885, it is believed, in San Marcos, Hays, Texas.

I remember my Grandmother speaking of Mary when I was growing up. She never spoke of her as just "Mary" - she always called her "Mary Mulkey Brown" - almost as if it where one name, altogether.

Rest In Peace, Mary Mulkey Brown.

My great-great-great Grandmother. I've heard great things about you from Granny. I wish I could've been priveledged enough to have known you. Rest Peacefully, until we meet. With Love and Sincerety,
