Kenneth L Allen, Osage city, died Jan 22, 2008, after an extended illness. He was 77.
He was born July 16, 1930, the son of Kenneth M and Zella Mae Allen.
He was married to Norma Jean Hoover. They were divorced. He later married Sylvia Margaret "Peggy" Baker on June 21, 1974.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1947 and from Kansas University and earned a master's degree from Emporia State University.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathleen Duncan, Topeka, and Kala Hisel, Topeka; stepsons, Lonny Baker, Osage City, and Alvin Baker, Holton; one stepdaughter, Cyndi Paul, Whiting; four grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; eight step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan 28, at the American Cemetery in Osage City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N 6th, Osage City, Ks 66523.
