Obituary:
On Thursday, April 30, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. I Beach, occurred the death of Mrs. Parmelia Johnson, wife of the late John Skilling Johnson, aged about 75 years. Mrs. Johnson has always resided a short way west of here until about two months ago when the old place was sold and she came here to live with her daughter. She was the daughter of Andrew Grover and the youngest of nine children. The Grover family were among Dryden's earliest settlers and were one of the first families of the town. Mrs. Johnson was a woman who mingles with the world but little, her tastes being wholly domestic. Her greatest effort was to make her home happy and in this she was entirely successful. She as an exemplary Christian and was for many years a member of the M.E. Church in this village. She left three daughters, Mrs. Will McKinney and Mrs. A. I. Beach, of this place and Mrs. Henry Kurtz of Allegan, Michigan. The funeral was held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, the Rec. T.C. Roskelly, of Freeville, conducting the services. The pallbearers were A.I.
