Jimmy Howard Brown, 81, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. The Hampton resident was born in Fort Myers, FL. on May 25, 1931 and grew up in Long County, GA.. After graduating from Ludowici High School and serving in the United Sates Army, Jimmy moved to Atlanta and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He was employed by Swift & Company and the Citizens & Southern National Bank. He was a resident of Forest Park for 41 years and was an active member of The First Baptist Church of Forest Park until his death. Jimmy was a 50 plus year Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and Yaarab Temple of the Shrine (Red Devil Clown Unit). He held many engineering certifications and was an active member of several professional organizations, including RSES and NIULPE. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hilda Parks Brown of Hampton; sons, David Brown (Jill) of McDonough and Rick Brown (Eileen) of Locust Grove; daughter, Becky Willis (Todd) of Senoia; grandchildren, Olivia Brown, Josh Brown, Dan Brown, Parker Hayes, Helena Willis, Kaylin Willis and Preston Willis; sisters, Virginia Griffin of Glennville and Jane Mulhbaier (Dave) of Aiken, SC.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil D. Brown and Mana Howard Brown, formerly of Long County and Glennville.
