Verna Mae was born March 4, 1955, in Ran. She is the youngest of seven children born to Judge and Vemle (Clayton) Albert. She died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, in Integris Medical Center in Edmond.
Verna Mae attended Marietta High School. She accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and united with New Zion Baptist Church at a young age.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ira and Charlie Albert.
She leaves to cherish precious memories two sons and a daughter-in-law, J.D. and Lisa Douglas, and Ricci Cortez Albert; four grandchildren; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Judge and Mineko Albert, James Albert, Andy Albert and Raymond Albert; five sisters, Mary Allen, Edna Albert, JoAnn Mitchell, Betty Lou Knox, and Blondie Davis; special friend, Adolph Payne; and longtime friend, Angela Hubbard.
Services are entrusted to the care of Kirk Funeral Home.
