Ethel M Doyle, 96 of Boise, died Wednesday, November 11, 1987, in a Boise Care Center.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November16, at Summers Funeral Home of Boise. Inurnment will be a later date in Cloverdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Doyle was born May 17, 1891, near Baker, Oregon, a daughter of William A and Neama A. Graham. Her parents moved shortly thereafter to Sumpter, Oregon, where the family continued to live until 1906, at which time they moved to the Boise area. Her early employment as a young woman included time with Canadian Bell Telephone at Victoria, Canada, from 1912 through 1914, and for many years in Boise with The Mode Department Store and Mountain States Telephone Company, Inc. In 1931, she was transferred to Council, where she served as contract manager for Mountain States Bell. She later transferred to Wendell and Arco in the same capacity until 1943 when she was transferred to Berkeley, California, working there until 1954 when she returned to Boise to be near her aging parents. She retired from Mountain Bell in 1956.
Survivors include two sons, Edwin G. of Meridian and Robert T. of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nephews; a niece; and several cousins. her parents and two brothers died earlier.
