Elayne Eloise (Hopkins) Davenport, 83, of Caldwell passed away peacefully Friday, November 13, 2009 of natural causes. She was born in Hollywood, California, the only child of Louis and Lillian Hopkins. She lived in Eugene, Oregon and Grandview, Idaho with her parents. Elayne graduated from Nampa High School in 1944. She met and married Clare "Woody" Davenport November 18, 1951. Elayne lived most of her life as a homemaker on the farm south of Nampa with her husband and children. She lived the last 18 years in Caldwell. Elayne was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Woody and two grandchildren, Scott and Aubrey Davenport. She is survived by her son, Melvin (Linda) of Idaho Falls, and their children, Jennifer (Aron) Derbidge, Sean, Alex and Asha; son Bob (Debbie) of Caldwell and their children; Desiree (Eric) Claywood, Jason (Nichole), Ryan (Katie), Derek (AnnMarie); daughter Kandle Desell of Garnland, Maine and her children Krystal, Elizabeth Eloise (Doug) Gnade, a second foster daughter, Candree (Carl) Whiting and their children Skeeter and Bree. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday November 18, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 15862 South Indiana Ave, Caldwell. Arrangements are being provided by the Zeyer Funeral Chapel Nampa.
