Valeria "Val" was born in Wisconsin married Louis Stacy Abernathy when she was 24 years old, it was her first marriage and his second. They had one child Marjorie Abernathy. He died when she was 36 and she never remarried. She lived with her daughter the rest of her life. She was a very smart investor and played in the stocks. She died in 1988 in Glendale.
