Dale Ainsworth, 62, of Ohio City, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Valley Hospital in Lima. He had been a patient at the hospital for 12 days, and his death was attributed to complications.
Ainsworth had been a driver and trainer of race horses. He was a native of Pleasant Township, and was born June 13, 1902, the son of John H. and Belle Ainsworth. His wife, Lonnie, died in 1956. The couple had no children.
Three brothers survive, Frank of Highland, Mich., Hugh and Fred, both of Ohio City; three sisters, Mrs. Erma Thatcher, 120 S. Wall St., Mrs. Viola Clay, Rt. 5, and Mrs. Oma Holland, Cardington. One brother and a sister are deceased.
Friends may call at the Cowan and Son Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Last rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. C. Luther Stager of Ohio City officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
