HEYWORTH — James W. Camper, 59, Heyworth, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2011) at Heyworth.
His funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth. The Rev. Richard Gray will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Randolph Township Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph Township Fire Department or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Mr. Camper was born July 23, 1952, in Bloomington, son of Roy O. and Florence G. Weaver Camper. They preceded him in death.
Survivors include the love of his life, Diana Martinez, Heyworth; one son, Christopher (Crystal) Camper, Heyworth; one stepdaughter, Teresa (Dan) Schwab, Keokuk, Iowa; two brothers, Lynn (Sandie) Camper, Bloomington, and Virgil (Mary) Camper, Wapella; three sisters, Sharon (John) Sledge, Heyworth; Teresa Camper, Normal; and Sandi (Bill) Murphy, Washington; five granddaughters, Ashley, Destinie, Alexis, Samantha and Kristin; two grandsons, Aaron and Lance; and many friends, nieces and nephews.
When James entered a room, you knew he was there. He was a dedicated Chevrolet and Harley- Davidson and Saturday night poker man and a collector of many things.
James retired after 36 years of service with General Electric and was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1000, Bloomington.
Per James' wishes please dress Harley or Chevy casual. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
