Marcus Lafayette is the son of Wilson and Elizabeth Baird Baird. His parents were 1st cousins so that is why the same surnames. Marcus had 6 sisters and 4 brothers and also, 1 half brother to my current knowledge. They are:

...FULL SIBLINGS...
Sarah Emaline Baird 1841 –
William Thomas "Billy" Baird 1843 – 1924
Nancy Caroline Baird 1844 –
Mary Jemima Baird 1846 –
John Wilson Baird 1848 –
Tennessee Elizabeth "Tennie" Baird 1850 – 1881
Martha Jane Baird 1851 – 1851
Robert Clinton Baird 1853 – 1931
Noah Franklin Baird 1854 – 1854
Frances Malisa Baird 1856 – 1870
...HALF BROTHER...
John Wilson Baird 1864 - 1948

On 2 Jul 1862, he married Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Bishop, in Milan, Gibson Co., TN. They had 2 girls and 4 boys. They possibly had another boy but that research is still being done. The verified children are:

Alice Elizabeth Baird Newhouse 1863 – 1945
William Monroe Baird 1866 – 1940
Marcus De Lafayette Baird 1869 – 1922
Garland Mourning Baird 1871 – 1953
Ottis Ulrich Baird 1875 – 1877
Jettie Ann Baird Belew 1877 – 1933

The family moved to Oklahoma some time after 1880 and I will add that information as I find it. Marcus preceded his wife Mollie in death. After he died, she moved to Wood's County and lived with their children. She is buried in another cemetery connected below in Wood's Co.

Rest peacefully Marcus...
