Mr. & Mrs. W.L. Ames was married at Coquille Oregon, Dec. 24, 1909.They did a lot of moving around. In 1932 settled in Malakwa, B.C., on homestead,moved off homestead May 14/1935 went to Yankee Flats move on to Claytons place.Left Salmon Arm on Nov.10,1936 moved to Coquille Oregon,Wilber set up a filing shop, Dec 4,1936,they moved to Bullards Oregon, April 7, 1937 Wilber worked in a sawmill, he worked there till Jan 18,1938 then they went to Sand Point, Feb 1938 rented rooms fot $20.00 per month they were payed up to March 18,1938 on May 15, 1938 off to Ponderay Idaho, moved September 1st 1938 to Chewelake Washington. Wilber left on March 13,1939 to look for work, which he found at Milton,Oregon. Moved again on April 9, 1939 to College Place, Wilber worked(night shift) at box factory. Moved on Nov.21,1939 to Coquille on Feb.12/40 Wilber went to work in Eugene Washington, for Bro,Burden left Eugene April 17, 1940 relocated at Ziggy, Wilber went to work for Bro.Reece Co. bucking logs, Moved to Emmersons camp, June 3 1942, in 1943 Emmerson moved donkey to new mill site.Wilber went to work accross Bear Creek, moved to Grand Ronde, June 23 1943. Went to Coquille, March 9, 1944 Elizabeth's mother died about noon of this date and was burried on the 11th at Bandon Oreg. Wilber Ames went to see Dr Griffith July 19,1945. Wilber passed on August 20,1945 at age 56 years at Hood River,Oregon. - Oregon Death Certificate #5045
