Deceased Name: Dawson, May Bryant

A resident of Walker and native of Baton Rouge, she passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at her home. Survived by three children, Paulette Bell and husband Johnny, Denham Springs, Kay Dawson Bice, Walker, and Robert Dawson and wife Lynn, Central; two sisters, Ruby Britt and Bobbye Bryant Daigle; five grandchildren, Sharon Bell Cascio, Polly Ard, Johnny Bell, Aaron Dawson and Meagan Pearson; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Joyce Dietrich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene O. Dawson; parents, Anderson and Ruby Bryant; four siblings, Dorothy Bryant, Sudie McCauley, R.C. Bryant and William Anderson. She was a contract employee by the federal government during World War II. Following the war, she was employed at Air Force Depot. She loved to travel and loved the scenic beauty of California. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, April 20, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes Wednesday from 9 a.m. until funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lee Ostten. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron Dawson, Johnny Ward Bell, Dalton Bell, Mike Ard, David Pearson and Ben Cascio. The family would like to thank the staff of Generations Hospice of Watson for making it possible for her to pass in the care of her family at her home, Patricia Addison, Jennifer Thomas, Cathy Moran, Cathy Stanley, Desire Price and R.C. Branch. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. We are blessed to know that she has gone home to be with the Lord.
