Laid to Rest. Saturday forenoon the remains of Mrs. S. D. Alger were laid to rest in Pairview cemetery by the careful hands of kind friends, hundreds of whom turned out to pay their last tribute of respect to one whose every act had endeared her to them by the strongest ties. The services were conducted by Rev. H. J. Grace, who paid a deserved tribute to the beautiful character and pure life of the departed one, the singing being by Misses Grace and Clara Ayres and J. S. Ramj, The coffin was literally buried in flowers, there being a wreath of roses from Mr. and Mrs. Disman; star and crescent from the Ladies Auxiliary B. of L. E.; pillow and wreath from A. M. Alger; Calla liiliesfrom Mrs. Wheeler; cross from Mrs. Roney and Mrs. Montgomery; triangle from Iron Mountain Lodge No. 19, K. of P. and crescent of pansies. Mrs. Alger was but twenty-one years old and leaves a husband, a young son, father, brother and sister to mourn her sudden call to a better land. The pallbearers were Engineers W. D. Yates, Alex Davidson, A1 Philliber, Robert Patterson, Sam Montgomery, and W. J. Coulter.
