"Services Wednesday For P. Emil Anderson"
P. Emil Anderson, 73, a resident of Rockford since coming to the United States from his native Sweden when he was 19 years old, died Sunday at St. Anthony hospital.
He lived with a daughter, Mrs. Rose Jackson at 2623 West State street and had been in failing health two years. He entered the hospital July 10.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Christenson funeral home, 925 3rd avenue, with the Rev. J.A. Benander pastor of Salem Luthern church officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff cemetery.
Mr. Anderson had been an employee of the Ingersoll Milling Machine company for thirty years and was a foreman there for many years. He was a member of the Lyron Singing society and Svithoid and Norden lodges, and was born in Lidkoping, Sweden on June 20, 1873.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vera Olson, 1141 Charles street, and Mrs. Jackson with whom he resided, and five grandchildren.
His wife, Regina Anderson, preceded him in death on March 23, 1943.
