Born to John Evan Brown and Elizabeth Wimp, the fourth of ten children. In 1894 she and Ione Dowden went into the millinery business at "Mrs. J. Casperkes stand" (The Breckinridge News, Sept 26, 1894). The two later opened their own millinery shop on Main Street in Brandenburg. Aida lived on the west corner of Broadway and High Streets in the old Shumate House (Brown & Coleman, History of Meade Co, p.38). She was also the organist at the Baptist Church for many years.
