Marie was born July 19, 1918 in Sarcoxie, MO., and was a Southwest Missouri resident all her life.
She was a housewife and also worked for Elders manufacturing in Webb City and Big Smith manufacturing in Carthage.
Marie was a member of the Center Point Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star- Charity chapter # 341 of Sarcoxie.
Marie was united in marriage to Bert William Bailey November 2, 1935 in Carthage, MO he passed September 15, 1991.
Marie is survived by one daughter Betty Lou Shepherd and husband Tom, four grandchildren Cynthia M. Cox, Michael W. Cox, David Shepherd and Susan D. Royko, and five great grandchildren Stephanie (Cox) Rothman, Joel A. Shepherd, Brook K. Shepherd, Madeline Royko, Megan Royko, and 2 great great grandchildren Athena Wood and Artemis Wood.
She is preceded in death by her parents Guy Berry and Ina Myrtle (Howell) Berry Garrison, one daughter Sylvia Ina (Bailey) Cox, one son Robert Eugene Bailey and one half brother Paul Joseph Berry.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 25, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday October 25 prior to the service at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hackney Cemetery east of Carthage.
