A funeral for Edgar J. Baker, 91, Ottawa RFD 1, who died today, Feb 26, 1991, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dengel and Son Mortuary with Rev. William Weber officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.

Born Sept. 2, 1899, near Lawrence, he was the son of James M. and Iva Mae (Mulvany) Baker.

He moved from Douglas County to Ottawa in 1928. He was a retired farmer.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors included two sisters, Gertrude Sheffield, 1038 S. Locust, and Pauline McClellan, Lawrence.

Friends may call from noon Wednesday until the service hour at Dengel and Son Mortuary.
Edgar served in the Army, WWII, Medical Dept. of the 76th. General Hospital. He never married.
