Marcia (McDonald) Hayes was a 32 year old dressmaker and the wife of Ellsworth Hayes. She was also the mother of four children: Gladys M. (Hayes) Roth, Gilbert Joseph Hayes, Lillian Mercedes (Hayes-Briggs) Buell, and Bessie G. (Hayes-Peters) Scott (30 July 1904 in Andrew, Iowa - August 1981 in Denver, Colorado). Marcia Hayes died 18 days after giving birth to her daughter, Bessie, and was buried at the Andrew Cemetery in Andrew, Iowa.
