Though his grave is apparently unmarked, church records clearly reflect that Leroy Broome was buried in the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery.

On February 18, 1818, he enlisted as a private in the Company commanded by Capt. Daniel Dennis in 1st Ga Regiment (commanded by Col. Homer Virgil Milton) to fight in the Seminole Indian war. He served until May 4, 1818.

Leroy joined the White Plains Baptist Church in Greene County, Georgia in 1835

In 1853, he moved to Carroll County, Georgia.
