Dorothy Jean Spens Adair gently slipped from this world into the next on September 19, 1997.

Born on March 5, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Thomas Alfred (Fred) Spens and Elva McArthur Spens.

She married Milton L. Adair on November 10, 1944. Sealed for time and eternity on June 5, 1947 in the LDS Temple in Mesa Arizona. Her gentle sweet spirit and loving way will be greatly missed.

Throughout her illness she never complained or lost her wonderful sense of humor. She had a strong testimony in her faith and was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The great joy and meaning for her life was her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survived by her husband of 52 years, her loving sister, Maxine (John) Czarnik; children, James Adair, Kathie Marshall, Scott (Kathy) Adair; grandchildren, Brad (Leslie) Marshall, and Nicole and Ian Adair; great-grandchildren, Carly and Kyra Marshall; loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Susan Jean, and a sister, Bonnie L. Brezoff.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 1997 at the Grant 4th Ward, 1100 East Charlton Ave. at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the ward house and from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. Murray, Utah. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Utah at 3 p.m.

Jean worked at Snelgrove ice cream as a supervisor for many years. She attended a luncheon once a quarter with her dear retired friends from Snelgrove.

The family wishes to especially thank Debbie Jones and all the staff of Wasatch Valley Rehabilitation Center for the loving care they gave Jean. The family also wishes to thank Vencare Hospice for their care of Jean and their continued concern of her family members.
