Christie was born in Norrkoping, Ostergotlands, Sweden. She immigrated to the US with her family in 1882. Married Addison Stuart Barricklow about 1899 in Nebraska, and moved to California shortly thereafter. They had 3 children : Elizabeth Josephine, Adele Christine, and Yanthe.

Mrs. Christie C. Barricklow, 82, of 4255 Vermont Ave., died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born in Sweden and had lived in Long Beach for 21 years. She was a member of Unity Church. Survivors are her husband Addie S.; three daughters, Miss Adele Barricklow, Mrs. Yanthe Aronson and Mrs. Elga Bucklin; and five grandchildren. Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holton and Son Chapel, Mrs. Sarah Switzer officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyside Memorial Park.
