Terrence Lee "Terry" Casey was born April 12, 1946 in Coquille, Oregon. He passed away March 17, 2016 in Springfield, Oregon.
Terry graduated from Coquille High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve while still in high school. He attended SWOCC and then went on active duty. He was stationed for two years in San Diego before serving in Vietnam as a military photographer.
After his discharge he lived in Southern California for a few years before moving back to Oregon He again enrolled at SWOCC then transferred to the University of Oregon. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked in computer networking and IT for Procter and Gamble. He graduated from University of Phoenix in 1996 with a BS in Business Administration.
Terry had many hobbies and interests. He played guitar, rode motorcycles, sky dived, scuba dived, and he had a black belt in karate. When he was fifty he decided he was too old to be jumping out of airplanes and got his pilot's license. He liked jumping more. He enjoyed participating with the The Sawdust Theatre and going to Ashland for the Shakespearean Festival. He was a voracious reader and he loved movies.
After Terry retired he moved back to Oregon and was delighted to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also pleased to be reacquainted with old friends and to make now ones. He was blessed to have so many people in his life that he cared for deeply and who were devoted to him.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Dawn Casey of Coquille, his grandson Will Stateler and wife Sierra of Bremerton, WA, grandson Cooper Stateler of Myrtle Point, granddaughter Tia Stateler of North Bend, and granddaughter Haley Stone of Coquille. He is also survived by his stepfather Boyd Stone of Coquille, his sister Sharon Walton and her husband Howard of Springfield, his sister Marilyn Hill of Eugene, and his brother John Stone of Coquille and many nieces,nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruby Stone in 2008 and by his former wife Bonnie Lundin in 2011.
