Funeral services will be held at the Norton Mortuary for John B. Brashears, 66, who died Monday morning in a local hospital. The Rev. Robert Hersh, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Turlock Memorial Park.
A native of Indiana, Mr. Brashears moved to Paterson in 1944 and to Turlock in 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Brashears of Turlock; three sons, Jack Brashears of Indiana; James Brashears, Modesto and Ronald Brashears, Turlock; three daughters, Sara Ellen Brashears, Indiana; Beverly Gamble of Modesto and Sharon Reeves, Turlock; two sisters, Matilda Lucas, Indiana and Leota Bowers, Arkansas; one brother, William Brashears, Indiana and nine grandchildren.
