John Jenkins also known as Jerry, proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. While in the Air Force he was stationed for some time overseas in Japan. He was a radio operator on-board a B-29 weather reconnaissance aircraft.
In 1960 he graduated from the University of Florida with with high honors, and received his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
For many years he owned and was in partnership in business in South Florida. His company Jenkins & Charland Consulting Engineers is a well respected business in this profession.
In later years he retired to Okeechobee Florida. He is survived by two sons, and three grandchildren.
