Burrell H. Bailey, aged 88 years, 8 months and 6 days , died Monday evening, February 28th, at his home near Ebb, FL, where he had lived for about 63 years. He had several days illness of flu and pneumonia. Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon in the Sirmans Baptist Church and interment was in Bailey Cemetery. Active pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Clarence, Horace, Fred, Walter and Kelley Bailey, Thomas, Elmar, and Pershing McLeod. Mr. Bailey was born in Georgia 88 years ago and came to Florida when a young man. In early manhood, he was married to Miss Annie Blanton. Seven children were born to them D. E. Bailey, of Plant City; Mrs. Arie Hendry, of Shady Grove; L. H. Bailey, of Ebb; and Mrs. T.C. Beaty, of West Palm Beach. Two children died when they were small. Boyt Lee Bailey passed on eleven years ago. Later he contracted a second marriage to Miss Annie Chason, who survived him, also a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
