Born Nov 5, 1903 in Lawton, Van Buren Co., MI to Samuel Foster Poorman & Anna May Stone Markle. Married 1st Cassie Benjamin, one daughter. Divorced. Married 2nd Mildred Webster of Hartford Sept 1936. Had daughter and son. Lived in Eaton Rapids, Charlotte, Alma, St. Louis, Mt. Pleasant MI. Moved to Colorado in 1962 first to Craig, then settled in Boulder. In 1970 moved to Walsenburg. He died there in Jan `1976. He was a retail shoe clerk most of his life, and then manager of Dept Store in Alma for several years.
