PLANT CITY, FL - Mr. Dozier W. Taylor of Plant City died of natural causes due to old age Saturday (Oct. 2, 2004) in Brandon. He was 99.
Born in Andalusia, Ala., on Nov. 24, 1904, he came to Plant City from Alabama in 1948. He was a farmer. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his sons, James Taylor, Alfred Taylor, Albert Taylor, all of Plant City, John Taylor, Gibsonton; daughter, Gwen Newberry, Eagle Lake; brother, Waco Taylor, Andalusia; sisters, Grace Evans, Andalusia, Myrt Jones, Auburn, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Wells Memorial Funeral Chapel, Plant City. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fellowship Cemetery.
