Virginia Juanita Adkins, 68 of Paris, Tennessee and formerly of Springfield, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 4, 1995 in Jackson-Madison County Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born July 17, 1927 in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of Lloyd F. and Mary C. (Gardner) Courtright. With her love of children, she became a devoted child-care provider.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles "Chuck", Sr.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol Dunbar of Urbana, Oho, Jean and Paul Southers of Thornville, Ohio; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E., Jr. and Louanne Adkins, David and Dodie Adkins, all of Springfield, Ohio, Robert and Deborah Adkins of Lexington, Kentucky, Michael and Deborah Adkins of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one sister, Shirley Ramey of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Charles Sullivan of Somerset, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, John Sullivan.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, 830 N. Limestone Street, Springfield where the funeral service will be held Monday at 1- a.m. with Rev. Dr. Dean A. Elam of the First United Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
