Johnie Magnolia was born to William Alexander Downer and Eliza Brown Guthrie Downer.
She had four brothers:

Arosmus Bruce, and
Joseph Max, and Thomas Burton.

She married James Evans Berry and they had 8 children:

The youngest child is my grandmother, Johnie Allene Berry Cox. James passed away when my grandmother was about 9 months old. He died of typhoid fever. Johnie M. then married her second husband, J. B. Reid. They had one daughter:
Katie Daffin Reed, B. 1921, d. 1987.
