David & Susannah became the parents of a daughter, Zora Elizabeth who was born in Seattle. They returned to Michigan, settling in Albion, Calhoun Co., MI.
Zora Elizabeth died at the age of seventeen years, four months & thirteen Days, succumbing to an allergic reaction to the anesthesia before a Tonsillectomy began. She is buried next to her parents at Oakridge Cemetery.
David Auer passed away at the age of sixty-eight in May 1932 & Susannah Katherine Lower Auer passed at the age of sixty-eight yrs. 5mo. & 16 day in December 1930.
After the death of Susannah, David remarried to a "Lillian" who was listed as his widow when he died. No further information regarding her.
